.: About ARRL Kid's Day
Kid's Day is an
on-air event to encourage young people (licensed or not) to have fun with
Amateur Radio. It is designed to give on-the-air experience to youngsters and
hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own. It is also intended
to give hams a chance to share their station and love for Amateur Radio
with children of all ages. More information on ARRL Kid's Day can be found by

ARRL Kid's Day 2017
I'd like to thank everyone involved for making our 2017
Kids Day event a huge success. The four young operators made a total of 355
contacts, including 12 DXCC countries and 8 contacts on 10 meters. That's the
most contacts ever made from here during a Kids Day. Epiphany and Kailey
really cranked out the contacts!!! Great job girls!!! Perhaps having all of
North America in a "deep chill" kept people indoors and on the radio. I'm
certain it would keep me indoors!!! Again, thanks for another fun Kids Day!!!
Thanks & Aloha, 73, Lloyd KH6LC
