.: HD8EX CQ WW CW DXpedition,
   Nov 1988

In November 1988, Lloyd (then AA6T) joined up with friends for a  DXpedition to the island of San Cristobol in the Galapagos, (off the coast of Ecuador), to participate in the CQ WW CW contest. They operated from a knoll adjacent to where HC8N is located today.

When all the CW keys were put away they finished 5th place in the world that year, with 13,418 QSOs and 27,503,400 points. You can see the full 1988 CQWW CW results in .pdf format by clicking here.
